Breast Cancer Training Workshop
Aug 22-23, 2016
National University Cancer Institute, Singapore
Cancer care is complex and costly. The burden on patients and their families can be significant. The sufferings are often both physical and emotional. At the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), we believe that Every Person Matters. Throughout the patients’ journey with their cancer, regardless of care setting, our multi-disciplinary teams will provide coordinated and holistic care that is patient-centric.
At the Yong Siew Yoon Wing in the National University Hospital (NUH) Medical Centre, we are featured by a one-stop facility with all essential services under one roof accessible for our patients. At our one-stop breast care center, we provide our patients with state-of-art breast cancer screening, diagnostic and surgical care of a variety of benign, malignant, preservation and reconstruction breast conditions. Patients may start the day with a consultation followed by imaging at Breast Imaging Center, and the day with a definite care plan complete with recommendations.
To ensure sustainability of our anti-cancer efforts, we are heavily involved in training the next generation of cancer warriors to front the fight against cancer. One of our key missions lies in the education, training and mentoring of the next generation of healthcare professionals in this field of medicine. Upon completion of their training, these medical trainees will return home to practise and share their knowledge with their local professionals.
For this purpose, we have contracted with Shanghai Pharmaliaison Medical Consulting Co. Ltd to conduct the Breast Cancer Training Workshop which will take place on Aug 22-23 2016 at NICS. Shanghai Pharmaliaison will be responsible for organizing the workshop with NCIS and paying the training fee to NCIS.
